Spatial Analyses and GIS

The relationship between organisms and their environment is always considerably influenced by where they live, the space they occupy in the environment. Powerful analytical tools allow us to investigate these relationships and understand why the different patterns we see in the environment occur. Typically, these are collectively known as spatial analyses, explored using software tools such Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
